Dental Bonding

If you live in the Savannah area, you know the value of having and maintaining your beautiful smile. After all, when we feel good about our smile and know that we have healthy, natural-looking teeth, we are able to smile more often. If you’re unhappy with the way your teeth look, cosmetic dentistry treatments like dental bonding might be able to help.

Carla H. Roher, Diplomate, ABDSM, DMD, FAGD, can provide dental bonding treatments that can help you smile more often. Call our office in Savannah today at (912) 355-0605 to find out more about this procedure.

Your Dental Bonding Procedure

When you are seeking a dental bonding treatment, you are looking to correct an irregular or unsightly tooth. The dental bonding procedure provides you with an adhesive substance which, when directly applied to your tooth, either builds it up (to repair cracking and chipping) or sculpts your tooth into a more even, natural-looking shape.

Little to no preparation is involved with dental bonding. Dr. Roher can select a composite resin color that exactly matches the shade of your existing teeth by selecting a composite resin color. During the procedure, known as direct composite bonding, Dr. Roher applies the composite material to repair chips and cracks, build up any worn edges of your teeth, and close any existing gaps to help you achieve your smile goals.

The procedure can typically be completed in one office visit. Dental bonding is one of the more popular and less expensive options for your cosmetic dentistry treatment.

What Will Dental Bonding Correct?

This versatile cosmetic dentistry treatment can be used for the following improvements:

  • Reducing gaps in teeth
  • Lengthening teeth
  • Repairing any decayed teeth
  • Fixing cracked or chipped teeth
  • Lightening any tooth discoloration

Dental Bonding Aftercare

You can take care of your bonded teeth with the same oral hygiene practices you use for your natural teeth. Routine dental checkups and brushing and flossing at least twice a day are a good way to keep your teeth clean and healthy.
